About Julia

Julia Fong — Fine Artist and Graphic Designer

I help businesses improve how they are perceived through hand-crafted visual identity, graphic design, and brand consistency.

Your business is already communicating something visually — whether you intended it or not.

That first impression affects who contacts you, what they expect to pay, and whether they trust you before they ever speak with you.

My work helps business owners create visuals that feel professional, consistent, and aligned with the level they want to operate at.

Where Art Meets Business Perception

I have been drawing since before I could write. Growing up in the Southwest, surrounded by painted desert scenery and Arizona sunsets, art was never something I chose. It chose me.

My mother was an artist, fashion designer, and crafter, and I cannot remember a single week growing up without a pencil or paintbrush in my hand.

That was over four decades ago, and I still start every project the same way: with a sketch on paper.

From Fine Art to Graphic Design

Unlike many designers who begin on a computer, I am a fine artist first. I work in Prisma color pencil, paint, charcoal, and digital media.

I have had the opportunity to work and study art in Puerto Rico and Egypt, experiences that shaped how I see color, composition, and storytelling in design.

I hold a degree in Digital Arts with a Design emphasis, and I have spent over a decade helping businesses, professionals, and creatives bring their ideas to life in print, on screen, and on products.

What I Do Differently

When you hire many designers, you get someone who starts with a template library. When you hire me, you get someone who starts with a sketchbook.

But the real difference is not only how the work begins. It is what the work is designed to accomplish.

I do not just create visuals that look nice. I help businesses create visuals that communicate trust, quality, clarity, and value.

That means your logo, colors, printed materials, website graphics, and marketing pieces should all work together to shape the right perception.

Working Alongside Ed

I also work alongside my husband Ed, who brings experience in direct response marketing, websites, software systems, and business process design.

Together, we look at both sides of a business: how it is perceived and how it operates.

That combination allows us to help business owners not only look more professional, but also build stronger systems around how customers find, understand, and interact with the business.

Beyond Client Work

When I am not designing for clients, I create original art, illustrations, pet portraits, and Southwest-inspired pieces.

You can browse and purchase my work in my online shop.

Currently based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, living the Southwest artist’s dream.
